Member, Board of Advisors

General Close’s career spans both the private and public sectors. In addition to serving on Redwood Global’s Board of Advisors, General Close is currently the president of the Spectrum Group where he supports U.S. and international clients with his extensive senior government and corporate executive expertise. Previously, General Close served as CEO and President of several diverse companies.

Kevin Hulbert

Member, Board of Advisors

Kevin enjoyed a distinguished career with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where he held a variety of high-level jobs and became an expert on counterterrorism, counterproliferation, counterintelligence, human intelligence (HUMINT), Latin America, South Asia, non-traditional operations, cybersecurity and covert action.

COL John Garrett, USA, Ret.

Member, Board of Advisors

Colonel John Garrett (retired) combines his background in defense and security matters with business acumen to provide a full range of marketing and business services. He enjoys relationships at the highest levels of the US government and defense industry and has developed strong and useful networks with policy and decision makers in the US Congress and the Departments of State, Defense and Energy, and the Department of Homeland Security.

Hon. Toby Moffett

Member, Board of Advisors

Toby served in the United States House of Representatives as the member from Connecticut’s 6th congressional district from 1975 to 1983. During his four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, he served as chairman of the House Subcommittee on Environment, Energy and Natural Resources, where he oversaw national investigations into Clean Air Act violations, groundwater contamination and nuclear power plant safety.

MG Kendall P. Cox, USA, Ret.

Executive Representative

General Cox supports Redwood Global on engineering, energy, ground combat systems, installation management, and BRAC projects, drawing on his extensive knowledge and experience in U.S. and international military requirements and his in-depth understanding of the engineering and defense market. He delivers BRAC-related expertise, including in community engagement and public-private partnership development, for state, local, and community clients.

Kelly Faulkner

Senior Proposal Manager

Thomas Kelly Faulkner is a Senior Proposal Manager with more than 15 years of experience managing and writing winning proposals for clients that deliver services to the United States Government. Over the course of his career, he has supported U.S. based and international clients in the fields of construction, transportation, supply chain logistics and information technology.

Muge Karslioglu

Senior Director, Business Development

Muge Karslioglu is an accomplished Senior Executive and Advisor with more than 19 years of success across the supply chain, construction, logistics, information technology & services, cybersecurity, and facility management industries. Her broad areas of expertise include business development, strategy, leadership, and strategic planning. Muge has extensive experience in government contracting supporting companies in the capture, proposal management, planning, pricing, and other government services.

Dominic Johnson

Senior Consultant, Capture and Strategy

Dominic Johnson has over 25 years of experience in U.S. Government contracting. Throughout his career he has provided leadership and management support in identifying regional and global opportunities and formulating strategic partnerships/alliances. He is extremely competent in RFP Development, Bidding/Buyout, Design Management, Logistics (Contingency Operations), Preconstruction effort, and projects executed in austere environments.

Merve Gunal

Vice President

Merve Gunal is a graduate of Columbia University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Operations Research. Having been raised in one of the Middle East’s most prominent business families, she has extensive training and experience in international business and multinational corporate management. Prior to her role at Redwood Global, Ms. Gunal was Vice President of TV8 from 2012-2013, and Vice President of MNG Kargo in charge of marketing and sales from 2013-2017.

Andrew Whiting

Director, International Projects

Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree in Middle East Studies and Arabic from Brigham Young University and an M.A. in International Political Economy and International Finance from Johns Hopkins University where he specialized in project finance and energy markets.

Joseph Szlavik

Vice President of Business Development at Spear ICS

Joseph Szlavik served at the White House during the first Bush Administration as a policy analyst in the Office of Policy Development and as liaison with the Office of Cabinet Affairs and the Office of Legislative Affairs, where he developed an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the Congress and the various departments of the Executive Branch. Subsequently, Joseph took a position as special assistant in the Office of Enforcement at the U.S. Customs Service.

COL Jack O’Neill, USA, Ret.

Senior Consultant, US Government Projects

Colonel O’Neill supports clients pursuing a variety of Army and Defense construction, environmental and technology projects with his substantial expertise in Army engineering.

Abdelrahman Barqawi

Corporate Manager & International Business Development

Abdelrahman serves as Redwood Global’s Corporate and Financial Manager. He received both a B.Sc in International Business and B.Sc in International Marketing with a specialty in data management. Abdelrahman develops and manages Redwood Global’s budgeting practice in collaboration with the executive board and works with the International Projects’ division for strategic financial planning.

Nehir Yardimci

Vice President

Nehir graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and gained valuable experience as a construction site manager in Ankara, Turkey for two years. In 1998, he came to the U.S. to pursue a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Global Management. After graduation he worked as a project engineer at Jacobsen Construction for the Ski Jump Construction Project for the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics.
